Delete your Harmain account
You can ask us to delete your Harmain account and its data at any time. The worship tools work without an account, so there is nothing to delete if you never created one.
How it works
Everyone asks for deletion, then we review it. This lets us look after other people your account is connected to, such as the students in a scholar's classes or the scholars of a student's classes. We complete every request within 30 days of the day you make it.
Step 1: ask in the app
- Open Harmain and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Request account deletion and read the warning.
- Confirm. You will see the date you asked and the date we will finish by. You can change your mind and use Cancel request until we approve it.
What happens straight away
- If you are a student: you cannot enrol in new offerings.
- If you are a scholar: your account is frozen. Your offerings are hidden, and no new enrolments, offerings or sessions can be created.
When we approve your request
- Students: your enrolments are cancelled and the scholars of those offerings are told in the app that you left Harmain.
- Scholars: your upcoming sessions are cancelled, every enrolled student is told in the app that the class was cancelled because you left Harmain, we ask Google to revoke your Google tokens, and your offerings are cancelled.
- Then your account is deleted.
By email
If you cannot use the app, write to info.easy24x7@gmail.com from the email address of your Harmain account with the subject "Delete my Harmain account". We make the request for you and follow the same steps, within the same 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity.
- Your profile, and your scholar application and verification details if you applied to teach.
- Your enrolments, class attendance records, notifications and reviews you wrote or received.
- If you are a scholar: your connected Google account tokens (we also ask Google to revoke them), and the offerings and sessions you created.
What may be kept
- Security and audit records that we keep to prevent abuse and meet legal duties. They are kept without your name, email or any link to your account.
- If we introduce paid classes, payment, refund and dispute records that the law requires us to keep, with your identity removed where possible.
- Copies in backups, which are removed as the backups are replaced in the normal cycle.
Google access
Deleting your Harmain account disconnects Google. You can also remove Harmain yourself at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or use Disconnect Google Account in the app.
